摘要: To aid a clear and unified visual perception while tracking moving target, both eyes must be coordinated, so the image of target falls on approximately corresponding areas fovea each eye. The movements two are decoupled during sleep, suggesting role arousal in regulating binocular coordination. While absence input sleep may also contribute to decoupling, sleepiness is state reduced that still allows for input, providing context within which coordination can studied. We examined effects deprivation using test paradigm we previously showed sensitive deprivation. quantified with SD distance between left right gaze positions screen. stability conjugate i.e., gaze-target synchronization, average target. Sleep degraded but these forms control horizontal vertical components were affected differently, disconjugate eye under different regulation attentional arousal. prominent association found degradation direction used fit-for-duty assessment.
