摘要: The Drosophila homeodomain-interacting protein kinase (Hipk) is a versatile regulator involved in variety of pathways, such as Notch and Wingless signalling, thereby acting processes including the promotion eye development or control cell numbers nervous system. In vertebrates, extensive studies have related its homologue HIPK2 to important roles p53-mediated apoptosis tumour suppression. Spenito (Nito) belongs group small SPOC family proteins has role, amongst others, signalling downstream Armadillo. present study, we show that both an enzyme-substrate relationship, adding new interesting component broad range Hipk interactions, map several phosphorylation sites Nito. Furthermore, were able define preliminary consensus motif for target sites, which will simplify identification substrates this kinase.
