摘要: Although much has been learned about heart development, it is surprising that very little known how size regulated. Recent work in mice revealed Hippo signaling interacts with canonical Wnt/β-catenin to regulate cardiac organ during fetal development. Previous studies had shown Wnt/β enhanced muscle or cardiomyocyte proliferation. As development progresses, inhibits activity through a multitiered mechanism suppress proliferation and ultimately restrict size. These further demonstrate Warts kinases phosphorylate YAP silence programs. Given the role of pathway control, an important challenge for future determine whether also regulates normal injured postnatal heart. Such may lay groundwork novel cardiovascular repair therapies. In this review, we will summarize major developmental events give rise vertebrate highlight established potential roles serves cardiogenesis maintain proper
