摘要: The interaction of an alkylating agent, 4,4'-dihydroxy chalcone (DHC) with calf thymus double stranded DNA (dsDNA) and single (ssDNA) was studied electrochemically based on the oxidation signals guanine adenine by using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) at carbon paste electrode (CPE). As a result alkylation DHC between base pairs in dsDNA, voltammetric signal greatly decreased. After ssDNA, higher decrease observed under same conditions. partition coefficients dsDNA ssDNA modified CPEs were calculated. interactions synthetic polynucleotides, such as polyguanylic acid polyadenylic also observed. In addition, detection limit reproducibility determined DPV. solution-phase investigated results compared ones obtained surface immobilized dsDNA. application electrochemical biosensor for monitoring DNA-alkylating agent explored.
