摘要: Rb2/p130 is a member of the retinoblastoma family proteins, consisting Rb, Rb2 and p107, which are important negative regulators cell cycle progression differentiation. While downregulation was observed in several malignant tumours including endometrial cancer, role p130 breast carcinomas still unknown. We investigated protein expression tumour tissue from 68 mammary 41 carcinomas, 4 lines, normal samples. Therefore, we performed Western blot experiments for Rb2, oestrogen progesterone receptors (ER, PR-A, PR-B). Weak or absent more often found (59%) than (24%). significant positive correlations with ER, PR-B cancer samples, PR-B, younger age carcinomas. No associations histological grading, stage, nodal involvement, Ki67 staining were detected. mRNA studied by semi-quantitative RT-PCR 56 samples correlated significantly results. Our results indicate that loss expression, mostly transcriptional down-regulation, may be associated development dedifferentiation most subset © 2001 Cancer Research Campaign http://bjcancer.com
