摘要: Species distribution models are important tools for wildlife management planning, particularly in the case of invasive species. We employed a recent framework niche-based species modeling to predict probability presence raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides) Austria. The is an adaptive, mobile and highly reproductive Asiatic canid that has successfully invaded many parts Europe. It known occur Austria since 1963 now widespread northern eastern country, but its population density remains low. With help model we identified focal areas future monitoring actions, address some implications also determined environmental predictors this alpine country. Its seems be mainly limited by climatic factors (snow depth, duration snow cover, winter precipitation mean annual temperature) thus linked elevation. Consequently, assumed Alps barrier spread Europe; however, ecological permeability expected increase with ongoing climate change. https://doi.org/10.2298/ABS161124009D Received: November 24, 2016; Revised: February 17, 2017; Accepted: March 1, Published online: 16, 2017 How cite article: Duscher T, Nopp-Mayr U.
