Nanostructured phases in bismuthate glasses containing rare earth ions

摘要: Glasses of the xR 2 O 3 (1-x)(Bi PbO) system where R=Gd, Eu, and Nd 0 < x 0.30 were obtained studied by magnetic susceptibility, X ray diffraction SEM microscopy. Magnetic susceptibility data that rare earth ions show a clusterization tendency even for low concentrations. Over certain limits, increase oxide content samples generate phase separation process. The crystalline evidentiated was 3BiO-PbO β solid solution (built up distorted [BiO 6 ] [PbO octahedral units in body centered cubic crystallographic structure).
