Democracy and deliberation

摘要: The 1993 and 1996 Constitutions introduced a new set of norms for the South African legal system: equality, freedom human dignity have replaced racism, caprice arbitrariness as guiding principles. This work analyzes fundamental values upon which democratic order in Africa is based. It examines challenges posed by these developments to practice scholarship concludes that lawyers adopted an approach "business usual" order.
