摘要: The coming of the ‘airport city’ is widely recognised, but research determining stakeholder interests, and in particular, ecological objectives, meaningful weighted terms, remains neglected. Some privatised airports increasingly see their most important stakeholders as private equity investors superannuants funds that have injected significant amounts into airports, underwriting expansion development. Clearly though, there a role for local residents, precinct users, ecologically trained economists to play airport planning management. Assuming ‘distanced’ shareholders are more likely prioritise economic-based objectives than community scientific experts, tension which hitherto did not exist now tempers development strategies. I identify 5 “ends objectives” metropolis out longer list Brisbane Airport Corporation cites. Much effort has been put developing sustainability indicators. However, these indicators need be develop hierarchy achieve balance between various interests. Such only fundamental achieving degree sustainability, it may also enable synergies co-operation integration at economic, environmental social levels. This paper discusses attitudes approaches by pool, canvasses strategies harmonising interfacial decision making initiatives based on findings. It preliminary provides front-end input decision-making models whether currently existence or yet designed.
