摘要: Because of the controversy over nature parental magma for MORBs, experiments have been performed at 10 kbar in order to assess effect modal variations source peridotite and temperature (degree partial melting) on composition melts. A peridotite-basalt sandwich method was used a run duration 72 h found be necessary equilibrate basalt peridotite. range melt compositions, coexisting with olivine, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene spinel, produced kbar, indicating that melting cannot regarded as isobarically pseudoinvariant. On projections normative tetrahedron OL-PL-CPX-SIL, liquids obtained this study define an area, rather than point or narrow band. The compositions some are similar magnesian MORBs (MgO>9.5 wt%), providing evidence support derivation by mantle lherzolite about kbar.
