Location-Aware Shopping Assistance: Evaluation of a Decision-Theoretic Approach

摘要: We have implemented and tested a PDA-based system that gives shopper directions through shopping mall on the basis of (a) types products has expressed an interest in, (b) shopper's current location, (c) purchases made so far. The uses decision-theoretic planning to compute policy optimizes expected utility walk mall, taking into account uncertainty about whether will actually find suitable product in given location time required for each purchase. To assess acceptability this approach potential users, two floors building we constructed mockup with 15 stores.
