摘要: The study used activated algae granules for low-strength wastewater treatment in sequential batch mode. Each cycle was conducted within 24 h a bioreactor exposed to 235 μmol/m2/s light intensity. Wastewater performed mostly aerobic conditions, oxygen being provided by microalgae. High removal efficiency of chemical demand (COD) achieved (86–98%) the first hours reaction phase, during which indicator's rate 17.4 ± 3.9 mg O2/g h; NH4+ removed organic matter degradation processes with 1.8 0.6 mg/g h. After almost complete COD removal, remaining liquor through nitrification promoted increase liquor's saturation (O2%), transformation into NO3− increasing from 0.14 0.05 1.5 0.4 NH4+/g h, along an O2% increase. A wide case PO43– (11–85%), 1.3 0.7 In optimum occurrence denitrifying activity also noticed. large pH variation registered (5–8.5) cycles. granular system proved be promising alternative as it sustains cost-efficient microalgae harvesting, recovery ranging between 99.85 and 99.99% after settling velocity 19 3.6 m/h.
