摘要: Abstract Contrary to common belief, strong communities do not necessarily enjoy low rates of violence. Applying Baumgartner's (1988) thesis that confrontational forms conflict management tend be found where social interaction is intense, this paper argues conflict-related or “moralistic” homicide associated with several the defining characteristics community. Thus, a considerable amount evidence, modern and pre-modern, suggests moralistic flourishes under conditions proximity, sociability, immobility, publicity loyalty.
