摘要: Starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) collected in 1971 at 50 sites throughout the contiguous US were analyzed for mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic residues. Except one sample containing 0.62 ppm, mercury levels generally well below 0.5 ppm with 76% 0.05 or less. Lead ranged from 0.12 to 6.6 ppm; cadmium residues not detected 0.24 72% less; quite low only (0.21 ppm) exceeding ppm. 11 references, 1 figure, table.
