摘要: The relative timings of the last deglacial warming in Southern and Northern hemispheres are not well constrained, but a crucial component understanding mechanisms deglaciation1. A clearer picture degree interhemispheric synchrony has been obscured by dearth high-resolution temperature records that can be tied to absolute calendar timescale. Moreover, quantification tropical temperatures during glacial cycle is controversial2–8. Here we apply alkenone method sea surface reconstruction9,10 several sediment cores recovered from Indian Ocean between 20° N S. inferred initial ∼15,000 years ago at S phase with Hemisphere (this study) air11 changes, lags Antarctic warming12–14 millennia. This finding, along results recent modelling studies15,16, provides strong support for idea changes ocean's global thermohaline circulation were only cause climate teleconnection deglaciation.
