摘要: Time finite element analysis (TFEA) is used to determine the accuracy, stability, and limit cycle behavior of milling process. Predictions are compared traditional Euler simulation experiments. The TFEA method forms an approximate solution by dividing time in cut into a number elements. then matched with exact for free vibration obtain discrete linear map. Stability determined from characteristic multipliers Map fixed points correspond stable periodic solutions which evaluate surface location error. Bifurcations predicted non-linear formulation. Experimental cutting tests confirm theoretical predictions.
