摘要: The preparation of the nortriptyline hydrochloride, an important pharmaceutical product, by crystallization from both alcohol and aqueous solutions is presented. At low temperatures this material shows a higher solubility in absolute compared to trend which reverses at temperatures. Examination crystals prepared reveal essentially needle-like crystal habit excellent agreement with morphological predictions based on bulk crystallographic structure. In contrast solution high particulate structure dominated heavily agglomerated crystallites plate-like morphology. When crystallized lower temperatures, where curve steep, X-ray thermal analysis appear show that results new polymorphic associated less product.
