摘要: There are no national data on the magnitude and pattern of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in India. The Indian CKD Registry documents demographics, etiological spectrum, practice patterns, variations special characteristics. Data was collected for this cross-sectional study a standardized format according to predetermined criteria. Of 52,273 adult patients, 35.5%, 27.9%, 25.6% 11% patients came from South, North, West East zones respectively. mean age 50.1 ± 14.6 years, with M:F ratio 70:30. Patients North Zone were younger those older. Diabetic nephropathy commonest cause (31%), followed by undetermined etiology (16%), glomerulonephritis (14%) hypertensive nephrosclerosis (13%). About 48% cases presented Stage V; they than Stages III-IV. older, more likely present earlier stages had higher frequency males; whereas unexplained younger, females frequently V. lower income groups advanced at presentation. presenting public sector hospitals poorer, unknown etiology. This report confirms emergence diabetic as pre-eminent poorer CKD. some geographic variations.
