摘要: Nuclear transfer has seen a remarkable comeback in the past few years. Three groups have independently reported derivation of stem cell lines by somatic nuclear transfer, from either adult, neonatal or fetal cells. Though ability human oocytes to reprogram cells had long been anticipated, success did not arrive on straightforward path. Little was known about oocyte biology, and protocols developed animals required key changes become effective with eggs. By overcoming these challenges, research contributed greater understanding provided point reference for comparison induced pluripotent cells, delivered method generation personalized therapeutic potential.
