摘要: The study of iodine in glasses and melts is critical many areas, from geosciences to materials science waste management. Glasses the ternary system Na2O-B2O3-SiO2 were studied with goal identifying a glass matrix able dissolve large quantities this element, identify main parameters affecting solubility iodine. Two sets experiments carried out: first one aim determining limit iodine, second structural variations occurring within network upon incorporation, influencing most both speciation. We demonstrated that there strong dependence incorporation on bulk chemistry physical properties. A ~5 mol% I has been assessed for B2O3-rich ~1 mol% SiO2-rich ones, composition explained by considering fragility parameter network. Structural local environment characterized Raman, X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy, 11B NMR. Spectroscopy data point out coexistence different species glasses, iodide being predominant one, surrounded Na+ ions.
