摘要: Intracellular pH (pHi) homeostasis is key to the functioning of vascular smooth muscle cells, including pulmonary artery cells (PASMCs). Sodium-hydrogen exchange (NHE) an important contributor pHi control in PASMCs. In this review, we examine role NHE PASMC function, both physiologic and pathologic conditions. particular, focus on contribution response hypoxia, considering acute hypoxic vasoconstriction development remodeling hypertension chronic hypoxia. Hypoxic remains a disease with limited therapeutic options. Thus, review explores past efforts at disrupting signaling discusses potential that such may have field hypertension.
