摘要: We present the case of a 14-year-old Malay girl with an ependymoma conus medullaris who presented to multiple general practitioner clinics 24-month history chronic low back pain. The pain was symptomatically managed as simple musculoskeletal and sciatica. Further imaging aid diagnosis delayed until appearance severe neurological deficits. Magnetic resonance revealed enhancing spinal mass at L1 through L3, histopathological investigations confirmed grade II according World Health Organization classification. She underwent gross resection tumor. After surgery, she developed neurogenic urinary bladder bowel, which required intermittent self-catheterization, enema use, intensive physical therapy.
