摘要: Depression is a complex psychiatric disorder influenced by several genes, environmental factors, and their interplay. Serotonin receptor 2A (HTR2A) tryptophan hydroxylase 1 (TPH1) genes have been implicated in vulnerability to depression other disorders, but the results inconsistent. The present study examined whether these two moderated influence of different depressogenic factors on subthreshold depressive symptoms (assessed modified version Beck’s Inventory, BDI) depression-related temperament, i.e., harm avoidance Temperament Character TCI). included measures childhood adolescence exposure, maternal nurturance parental socioeconomic status, adulthood social circumstances, perceived support urban/rural residence. participants were randomly selected subsamples (n = 1246, n 341) from longitudinal population-based Cardiovascular Risk Young Finns 3596). Childhood assessed when 3 18 years age, three after baseline. Adulthood outcome 17 21 later 39 age. T102C polymorphism HTR2A gene association between symptoms, such that exposure high predicted low among individuals carrying T/T or T/C genotypes, not those C/C genotype. Likewise, SES genotype, C/C-genotype carriers. Individuals genotype also sensitive residence, they had lower urban than rural areas, whereas residence difference. did moderate support. TheA779C/A218C haplotype TPH1 was involved environment outcomes. However, A alleles more vulnerable lack terms counterparts no alleles. Furthermore, living remote areas A/A higher genotypes TPH1. findings suggest may be development influencing individual’s sensitivity influences.
