摘要: Recolonisation of Zostera marina, following complete destruction caused by an anoxic crisis, was studied in the Thau lagoon (French Mediterranean Sea) from February 1998 to September 1999. The recolonisation took place surprisingly rapidly as biomasses similar those untouched areas were reached only nine months after seed germination. success partly due a high seedling survival rate well rapid vegetative recruitment (ranging 0.012 0.042 per day). Two phases recovery could be observed: multiplication shoots during first 3 followed increase biomass elongation leaves. During year no flowering shoot observed whilst reproductive effort considerable second year. In case two consecutive crises at same site, would have probably been much slower, since annual seedbank depleted. © 2003 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
