摘要: New and emerging microbial diseases, as well microbes developing multidrug resistance due to excessive use of antimicrobial agents, lead urgent requests for advanced therapy. Nanostructures based upon nanotechnology provide new approaches therapy various infectious diseases. Nanostructures—including nanoliposomes, nanoparticles, nanomicelles, nanogels, nanodendrimers, nanodevices, nanopolymersomes, nanoconjugates, nanobubbles, carbon nanotubes, nanographene oxide quantum dots—hold out the potential improving bioavailability, extending half-life, enhancing efficacy, reducing adverse effects agents. Also, nanostructures are easy functionalize fabricating site-specific or targeted nanoantimicrobials; hence modified can keep topical high levels agents in lesions prevent development drug resistance. Furthermore, novel with broad-spectrum activity have reverse The focus this review is on current status antimicrobials
