A Probabilistic Room Location Service for Wireless Networked Environments

摘要: The popularity of wireless networks has increased in recent years and is becoming a common addition to LANs. In this paper we investigate novel use for network based on the IEEE 802.11 standard: inferring location client from signal quality measures. Similar work been limited prototype systems that rely nearest-neighbor techniques infer location. paper, describe Nibble, Wi-Fi service uses Bayesian device. We explain general theory behind system how system, along with describing our experiences at university campus building research lab. also discuss probabilistic modeling can be applied diverse range applications sensor data.
