摘要: Magnesium alloys are emerging as a promising candidate material for temporary biomedical fixation implants. However, the poor corrosion resistance of magnesium limits their application to great extent. Different from traditional methods improve resistance, work presented in this chapter shows that can be enhanced by using two mechanical processing methods: cryogenic machining and burnishing. Experimental results on surface integrity changes obtained these processes, including microstructural, crystallographic orientation, residual stress reported, well related performance processed samples.
