摘要: Abstract External circular crack in an infinite body is a well-known problem for three-dimensional elasticity theory. Although previously studied extensively, main focus has been on the determination of stress intensity factors, and thus only components normal to plane have derived analytically. In this paper, external further purpose all T-stress, under both axisymmetric (tension) asymmetric loading (bending) conditions. Complete analytical expressions are first; based which asymptotic analyses carried out obtain T-stress. Comparisons full field solutions near front regions with fields factors K T-stresses (K–T field), ones alone (K field) out. It demonstrated K–T provides approximations better accuracy comparing field. The present T-stress can be used advanced fracture mechanics cracks engineering components. They also as benchmark problems verifications computational/numerical methods 3D problems.
