摘要: Purpose: Physical functioning is an important and often neglected outcome in patients with diabetes. Identification of quality care indicators health behaviors associated higher physical may lead to improved outcomes for adult diabetic patients. Methods: We studied 3,521 persons diabetes mellitus from 13 geographically dispersed, multi-specialty group practices a cross-sectional survey. The variable was the 10-item scale. Independent variables included demographics, behaviors, management, use services, status, risk depression, comorbidities, testing albuminuria, glycosylated hemoglobin, low-density lipoprotein. From these data, 10 quality-of-care were constructed. evaluated relationships between indicators. Results: Participants had mean age 64.2 +/− 12.6 years, 52% female, 67% married, 78% high school education or higher, 73% white.
