摘要: A study using coagulation–flocculation method for the treatment of pulp and paper mill wastewater has been carried out. The efficiency alum polyaluminum chloride (PACl) when used alone in coupled with cationic polyacrylamide (C-PAM) anionic (A-PAM) on were studied. reduction turbidity chemical oxygen demand (COD), removal total suspended solids (TSS), sludge volume index (SVI) settling time are main evaluating parameters. In process single coagulant, coagulant dosage pH play an important role determining coagulation efficiency. At optimum 1000 mg/L 6.0, is found to be 99.8%, TSS 99.4% COD 91%. PACl 500 respectively, at which it gives 99.9% turbidity, 99.5% 91.3% reduction. combination inorganic flocculant or polymer applied C-PAM (Organopol 5415) A-PAM (Chemfloc 430A). Overall, Organopol 5415 best system among all systems It 99.7% 95.6% COD, same low SVI (38 mL/g) (12 s). © 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
