摘要: Background: Beneficial effects of lactobacilli have been reported in experimental colitis. On the other hand, despite controversial role nitric oxide (NO) inflammatory gut process, a protective action exogenous NO inflammation has suggested. Consequently, this study aimed to determine effect (i) sodium nitroprusside (SNP), donor and (ii) treatment with Lactobacillus farciminis, which produces vitro, on trinitrobenzene sulphonic acid (TNBS)‐induced colitis rats evaluate effect. Methods: Rats were divided into three groups receiving one following: continuous intracolonic (IC) infusion SNP for 4 days, L. farciminis orally 19 or (iii) saline. day 1 15, respectively, TNBS saline administrated IC, followed by IC haemoglobin, scavenger. At end treatments, following parameters evaluated: macroscopic damage colonic mucosa...
