摘要: Specimens of the Antarctic fish P. borchgrevinki were collected from just beneath sea-ice in McMurdo Sound over period 8 November to 6 December, 1985. The stomach contents 200 analysed and compared with co-occurrence prey species plankton. Numerically, dominant was a thecosomatid pteropod Limacina helicina (83%), followed by hyperiid amphipod Hyperiella dilatata (5%). Other decreasing order occurrence Euphausia crystallorophias, Euchaeta antarctica, other copepods, decapod crustacean larva, chaetognaths, amphipods Orchomene plebs Epimiriella macronyx, unidentified juvenile fish. frequency these guts all H. (in 73% fish), L. (71%), calanoid copepods (55%), chaetognaths (51%), E. crystallorophias (42%), larva (32%), O. (27%), (20%), macronyx (14%). In volumetric terms, diet contributors (38%), (17%) (15%). All except taken concurrent plankton samples. Although planktivory Pagothenia is confirmed, it not certain whether feeding confined immediate sub-ice environment.
