摘要: Columns are one of the most usual supporting structures in a large number cultural heritage buildings. However, it is difficult to obtain accurate information about their inner structure. Non-destructive testing (NDT) methodologies usually applied, but results depend on complexity column. Non-flat external surfaces and unknown irregular internal materials complicate interpretation data. This work presents study column by using ground-penetrating radar (GPR) combined with seismic tomography, under laboratory conditions, order maximum belongs “Modernista” building from Barcelona (Spain). These columns built fragmented clay bricks mortar. The complex structure causes complicated 2D images, evidencing existence many different targets. 3D images provide valuable presence state an tube show, addition, that made uneven broken bricks. GPR present high correlation data endoscopy observation carried out situ. In conclusion, final result provides damaged areas structures. Comparing methods real column, potential limitations were evaluated.
