摘要: A method of preparing fully dense silicon nitride based ceramic articles comprises the steps blending a metal oxide component and nitride, wherein portion acicular crystals; comminuting powder mixture to reduce aspect ratio crystals an average less than about 3; pressing comminuted form compact; pressureless sintering compact body. Powder mixtures compacts for forming bodies are also disclosed.
