Preparation, characterization, and optical properties of nano- and submicron-sized Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphors

摘要: Ultrafine Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphors were prepared by a modified solution combustion method. The as-prepared samples with sizes of 17.6–80 nm (nanophosphors) and 300 (submicron phosphors) characterized x-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope, scanning microscopy, selected area energy dispersive spectroscopy. emission spectra the are unchanged in comparison that standard material. excitation show redshift charge-transfer-state band blueshift host gap band. In relation to commercial sample, relative luminescence intensities nano- submicron increased sufficiently 64.4% 93.6%, respectively. Higher quenching concentration activator Eu3+ ion was observed nanophosphor than phosphor synthesized solid state reaction.
