Live attenuated bacteria as vectors to deliver plasmid DNA vaccines.

摘要: Live attenuated bacterial vaccines allow vaccination via the mucosal surfaces and specific targeting to professional antigen presenting cells located at inductive sites of immune system. A novel approach exploits intracellular bacteria as a delivery system for eukaryotic expression vectors (so-called DNA vaccines). Candidate carrier include strains Salmonella, Shigella Listeria spp, which have been shown, in vitro, deliver human cells. Bacterial vaccine has also demonstrated vivo efficacy several experimental animal models infectious diseases tumors. The next step should be clinical assessment safety, immunogenicity by live vaccines.
