摘要: The objective of this study is to investigate the effect palladium particle size on catalytic activity for oxygen reduction reactions (ORRs) in alkaline solutions. Carbon-supported catalysts with average Pd sizes from 3 16.7 nm were obtained by treating a 20% Pd/C catalyst H 2 /N gas at elevated temperatures 300 600°C, respectively. specific ORRs, described kinetic ORR current (i k ) normalized active surface area, was found increase continuously factor about increased without reaching maximum. mass 1.3 when 5 and then decreased size. hydrogen peroxide yield negligible, especially mixed kinetic-diffusion controlled region, indicating that four-electron transfer path dominant
