摘要: Using Monte Carlo methods, we compute the finite-size scaling function of helicity modulus {Upsilon} two-dimensional O(3) model and compare it to low-temperature expansion prediction. From this, estimate range validity for leading terms correlation length. Our results strongly suggest that a Kosterlitz-Thouless transition at temperature T{gt}0 is extremely unlikely in this model. {copyright} {ital 1997} The American Physical Society}
