摘要: article i nfo The Asturian La Cabana Formation, middle?-late Cenomanian in age, has yielded a rich and diverse assemblage of vertebrate microremains. fauna consists both marine continental forms, including chimaeroids, various selachians actinopterygians, chelonians, crocodilians, plesiosaurs, pterosaurs, sauropod dinosaurs, squamates. This mixed autochthonous (coastal) allochthonous (continental) elements comes mainly from transgressive lag occurring near the base formation. It also contains some remains which are probably reworked older middle deposits. Palaeontological, taphonomic, sedimentologic data indicate shallow platform lagoon, with addition elements. A comparison late Charentes (southwestern France) shows numerous similarities between areas. Some taxa, only known Asturias (e.g., aigialosaur Carentonosaurus), suggest that opening Bay Biscay may have constituted palaeobiogeographic area characterized by endemism during mid-Cretaceous.
