摘要: A method and apparatus for automatically managing investment portfolios is disclosed which substantially tracks a selected index harvests tax losses. The system includes an accounting maintaining lot information individual accounts, optimization rebalancing each account to model the harvesting losses, trading executing trades. Each investor owns securities in his/her account, therefore, harvested losses can be used offset capital gains. Securities sold harvest are repurchased at later time avoid application of Internal Revenue Service wash sale rules, with exchange traded funds (ETF's) from same technological sector as being temporary replacement portfolios.
