摘要: This article reviews some of the complex ethical issues that accompany diffusion ventricular assist devices (VADs) for heart failure patients, with a particular emphasis on unique to older adults. In doing so, are centered three decision points: (a) patient selection; (b) informed consent (i.e., initiation device); and (c) end life deactivation device.) It is contended that, technological improvements in treatments new indications, making process VAD placement has become more clinically ethically challenging, particularly Areas potential future research identified.
