摘要: Abstract Objective To evaluate the progression in utero of mild isolated fetal ventriculomegaly (defined as a transverse diameter atrium lateral ventricle measuring between 10 and 15 mm), to estimate proportion fetuses that normalize (diameter decreasing less than 10 mm), stabilize (remaining or progress more severe (becoming greater 15 mm). Methods The obstetric databases 3 institutions were queried for any studies mentioning hydrocephalus. Reports original images reviewed verify cases ventriculomegaly, with no other anomalies on comprehensive ultrasonographic examination. Fetuses had 2 evaluations 3 weeks apart included. Results A total 63 met criteria ventriculomegaly. mean gestational age ventricular measurements 24.7 ± 3.7 weeks 11.8 ± 1.1 mm, respectively, at initial scan 34 ± 2.9 weeks 12.1  ± 3.8 mm, final scan. number scans was 3.75 per fetus (range, 2–6). Amniocentesis revealed deletion 5p, which causes cri du chat, 1 21 fetuses; 26 (41%) showed normalization ventricles; (16%) progression; 27 (43%) appeared stable. Table shows statistics individual groups. Three “stabilized” improved from 15 mm 11, 11.5, 11.7 mm, respectively. Two worsened 10.2 14 mm 11.4 13 mm. Conclusions More 40% resolved utero. significant overlap different groups precludes prediction cases. However, 13 where measured 13 mm more, only normalized, while 9 remaining 12 stabilized progressed.
