摘要: Abstract A “new” concept for detection and tracking of charged particles in high energy physics experiments is proposed. It combines a well known purity semiconductor diode detector (HPSDD) with heterojunction structure (HJ) negative electron affinity (NEA) surface. The should be capable providing two dimensional view (few cm2) multi-track events the following properties: a) position resolution down to few μm (108 elements); b) density information (102−103 dots per mm minimum ionizing track); c) rate capabilities MHz); d) live operation options triggered and/or from can used as an input decision record event.
