Phase equilibria in Fe–Sn–Ti ternary system at 1073 K and 1273 K

摘要: Abstract Phase equilibria in the Fe–Sn–Ti ternary system at 1073 and 1273 K were experimentally investigated through alloy sampling approach facilitated with electron probe micro-analyzer X-ray diffraction. Two compounds TiFe 2 Sn Ti FeSn detected. Ten 3-phase 1073 K, including β(Ti)+Ti 3 Sn+FeTi, Sn+FeTi+Ti 5 , FeTi+Ti +Ti FeSn, FeSn+Fe Ti+TiFe Sn, FeSn+Ti 6 FeTi+Fe Ti+Ti +TiFe Sn+Ti +Liquid, Sn+Fe +Liquid α(Fe)+Fe seven Fe confirmed. At homogeneity ranges of 45.5–51.4 at% 24–27.7 at.% while exhibited a large range 46.9–66.4 at% 22.7–26.4 at% solubility Ti,Fe can be up to 4.6 at.%, 10.2 at%, 3.7 at% 21 at%, respectively, 1273 K, Solubility considerably increased 10.8 at%, changes little. According measured phase relations, an invariant reaction was further deduced, which ↔FeTi+Ti occurring between 1073 K 1123 K.
