摘要: Objective This qualitative study explored attitudes toward weight management and knowledge of healthy, active living among paediatric patients referred to a program. The objective this was determine the emotional state entering into Methods Study participants (aged 7 17 years old) were recruited during clinic orientation. Semistructured interviews conducted, audiotaped transcribed verbatim. Qualitative content analysis generated thematic coding scheme, identifying concepts linkages in data. rigour achieved collaboratively through an audit trail, data triangulation. Results Fifteen (median age 11 years) consented interviews. Three recurring themes emerged: emotions, motivation learning. A total nine subthemes identified.
