摘要: Rad54 protein is a key member of the RAD52 epistasis group required for homologous recombination in eukaryotes. duplex DNA translocase that remodels both and protein-DNA complexes, functions at multiple steps process. Here we use biochemical criteria to demonstrate existence this important prokaryotic organism. The Sulfolobus solfataricus (SsoRad54) double-strand DNA-dependent ATPase can alter topology DNA. Like its eukaryotic homolog, it interacts directly with S. Rad51 homologue, SsoRadA, stimulate strand exchange. Confirmation as an authentic homolog establishes essential phylogenetic bridge identifying homologs archaeal bacterial domains.
