摘要: Objectives : To examine trends in hospitalization and inpatient deaths of neonates, infectious diseases (IDs) between 2005-2014; severe acute malnutrition (SAM) 2010 2014 Yemen. Method It was a retrospective descriptive study. Data were extracted from the clinical records patients admitted 2005 to for neonates cases aged 1-59 months with IDs. For SAM data available 2014. analyzed using SPSS version 20. Results Between 2014, 39282 under-5 hospitalized 33.6% neonates. Of 26069 months, 15224(58.4%) Pneumonia (44.6%), diarrhea (29.9%), meningitis (10.6%) main subgroups. During study period, there 4183 deaths. Neonatal accounting 3671 (87.8%). Deaths month 512(12.2%) IDs contributing 440(85.9%). Compared 2005/06, neonatal death declined by 9.2% 18.1% 2013/14, 56.8% 79.2%, respectively. reductions 65.4% 83.7%, 42% 95.5%, 73% 83%, 2010-2014, 1781 13689 total [13% (95%CI 12.5-13.6)] 53 224 [23.7 % (18.6-29.6)]. rate increased 8.5% 2010, 18.4% 27% (17.6-39.0) 57.5% (42.2-71.5), Conclusion Despite significant decline vaccine preventable diseases, this showed 87.8% mortality The increasing are alarming. Interventions improve survival reduce morbidity urgently needed.
