摘要: We report in this article the friction and wear results of polyalphaolefin (PAO 10) base oil with addition 3 wt% boron nitride (BN) molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanoparticles nominal size 70 50 nm, respectively. The formulations were tested using cast iron cylinder liner segments reciprocating against aluminum alloy piston skirt at 20, 40, 100 °C. showed that, a load 250 N frequency 2 Hz, BN did not lower whereas MoS2 very effective reducing both wear, compared oil. viscosities similar to oil, which allowed for direct comparison between them. Raman spectroscopy formation an aligned layer on surface, most likely functions as tribofilm. In case nanolubricant, no traces found. effect surfactants was also studied, it found that some only beneficial dispersing but producing reduction even when used stand-alone additives PAO 10.
