Business Ethics Education at Bay: Addressing a Crisis of Legitimacy

摘要: In this article I describe a crisis of legitimacy in business schools due to longstanding habit sidestepping ethics education. The accrediting agency helps perpetuate dilemma by failing require stand‐alone coursework, despite pressure from some constituents do so the wake an earthquake corporate scandals. This could easily be resolved if adopted three‐pronged approach education based on foundational coursework. Specifically, should at least one course as fulcrum for integrating across curriculum. As third tactic, effort augmented other initiatives, such hosting guest speakers, offering service‐learning projects, and establishing endowed chairs ethics.
