摘要: Papillary renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is an uncommon subtype of RCC that has distinctive gross, histologic, and cytogenetic features, but for which only limited immunohistochemistry data have been reported. We compared 36 papillary RCCs five adenomas with 19 non-papillary (clear granular) using a variety antibodies to keratin carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). tumors were often multifocal associated coexistent adenomas, whereas nonpapillary generally lacked these features. Low-grade demonstrated three occasionally overlapping histologic patterns (typical, trabecular, sclerotic), high-grade characterized by admixture many patterns. Immunohistochemically, 100% (36 cases) the positive AE1/AE3, 92% (33 callus keratins; 3% (one stained 34BE12, 11% (four weakly CEA. The likewise AE1/AE3 (five keratins. In contrast, 85% (16 5% callus; none (0/19) 10% (2/19) consistent expression keratins underscores close relation lesions, providing additional evidence their oncological distinction from RCCs.
